Below is some information/inspiration for my artist’s book project .
The idea is to use the process that led me to make the paintings and prints below to address the deficiencies of a strictly analytical approach to nature including systems of representation such as perspective, pattern, geometric grid and more.

The images below are as follows: The marble cone snail, early watercolors, a transfer of the pattern on papier-mâché, digital images I derived from that transfer, the shell scrolled on scanner, a cut woodblock, prints, and paintings inspired by the marble cone snail .
